Changes To Downtown Statesboro Branch Operations

We are thankful for your patience as we navigated through the COVID-19 pandemic and ask for you continued support as we mitigate the resurgence in our community.

Effective August 11, we will reestablish COVID-19 protocols for our Downtown Statesboro location. As a result, our Downtown Statesboro lobby will be closed to walk-in traffic. Beginning Wednesday, members may schedule appointments for in-branch services such as account opening, account maintenance, loan application, and loan servicing. All teller transactions at the Downtown Statesboro location will be directed to the 23 N. Walnut Street drive thru located directly behind the Downtown Statesboro Branch.

Additional correspondence will follow as we make decisions regarding the operations of our Brooklet, Savannah, and Statesboro branches.

We are pleased to inform you our 1099 Bermuda Run, Statesboro, GA, 100 W. Oglethorpe Ave. Savannah, GA, and 17740 U.S. Highway 80 E., Brooklet, GA branches are now open for full service including teller transactions. As we systematically reopen our branches for full service, you will notice several new procedures in place to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.  Before entering the branch please be aware of the changes we have made.

  2. To expedite transactions, the use of a mobile device is prohibited within the branch

  3. Face coverings are encouraged but not required. However, anyone wearing a face covering will be asked to briefly remove them for identification purposes

  5. Acrylic barriers have been installed at each teller window. When performing your transaction please remain directly in front of the barriers to allow for maximum protection

August 28th COVID-19 Update:

Changes To Branch Operations

We are excited to announce the further renovation of our 43 N. Main St. location in downtown Statesboro. Last year we renovated the exterior of the property with new signage, additional green space and landscaping, plus replaced all the concrete sidewalks with decorative pavers. Beginning September 3, we will close the location to begin renovations on the inside of the building. The new renovations will provide a similar look and feel to our new Market District branch. In addition to an improved look and feel, the branch will be equipped with state-of-the-art equipment to provide an enhanced banking experience. SAVANNAH - We are pleased to inform you we opened our 1099 Bermuda Run location for full service on June 10. The opening of the Market District Branch has been a success and we will continue to reopen our other branches. On June 22, we will open our Savannah Federal Branch located at 100 W. Oglethorpe Ave. Savannah, GA for full service including teller transactions. We are pleased to inform you that after 12 weeks our lobbies will begin systematically reopening. Beginning June 10, our Market District location (1099 Bermuda Run, Statesboro) will open for full service including teller transactions. To help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 we have made changes to our branch structure. Before entering the branch please be aware of the changes we have made.

  1. Branch visits for account opening, account maintenance, loan application, and loan servicing are by appointment only. Teller transactions do not require an appointment

  2. To expedite transactions, the use of a mobile device is prohibited within the branch

  3. Face coverings are encouraged but not required. However, anyone wearing a face covering will be asked to briefly remove them for identification purposes

  4. Floor decals have been installed to help promote social distancing and navigate to the teller line. Only enter the branch for teller transactions if the first decal in the lobby is unoccupied, otherwise please remain outside until it is available

  5. Acrylic barriers have been installed at each teller window. When performing your transaction please remain directly in front of the barriers to allow for maximum protection

  6. Upon completion of your transaction please support social distancing as you exit


May 6th COVID-19 Update:

Changes To Branch Operations

As we navigate through these difficult times, we remain committed to protecting our members and employees. Effective May 7, 2020, we will begin providing limited access to our branch lobbies. In order to open our lobbies, we feel additional precautions should be taken to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. We understand some of the measures may seem inconvenient but we believe the added safety is worth any inconvenience.  

Beginning Thursday, members may schedule appointments for in-branch services such as account opening, account maintenance, loan application, and loan servicing. To effectively serve as many members as possible we will limit appointments to one hour per occurrence. Your promptness is greatly appreciated. In order to be considerate of other members, all appointments will have a 15-minute grace period. Appointments outside of the grace period will need to be rescheduled for a later date. In order to schedule an appointment, please call (912) 764-9846.

In order to provide the full allotted time of your visit and to ensure the safety of all parties, we would like to make you aware of the procedures we will have in place.

  1. In branch teller transactions will not be allowed. Teller transactions will continue to be performed at the drive-thru only

  2. No more than 2 members/nonmembers will be allowed into the branch for each appointment

  3. Members are encouraged to wear face coverings. However, for identification purposes members wearing face coverings will be asked to briefly remove them as they enter the branch

At your scheduled appointment time, you will be greeted at the main entrance of each branch location by a CORE employee. The employee will then ensure the procedures listed above have been completed. Once completed, you will be escorted to their designated workstation to assist you with your financial needs.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control recommends the use of face coverings in public settings where social distancing measures are difficult to maintain. Wearing a face covering should not be seen as a substitute for social distancing. While waiting for your appointment, if you find yourself in the presence of another member please observe social distancing guidelines.

Branch Operations

Serving our communities remains the top priority. As the state eases restrictions on the closure of local businesses, we are committed to maintaining the safety of our members and employees alike. We are working tirelessly to modify our processes and procedures to meet CDC recommendations to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. In order to ensure we have the necessary precautions in place, we have decided to take some additional time to review our operational guidelines. As a result, our lobbies will remain closed for the time being.

In the meantime, you can still access your accounts through our drive-thru, online banking, mobile banking, and ATMs. We encourage you to take advantage of our electronic services such as Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) to make check deposits, PayPal.me to send money to others, and bill payment to pay anyone anywhere.

 As the coronavirus continues to impact our communities, we will be closing our Savannah Federal location to walk-in traffic. If you need access to funds, our lobby ATM is available for your convenience. To help facilitate other essential business functions, we will allow members to make appointments with our staff as needed. Changes To Branch Operations In Bulloch County

CORE Credit Union is closely monitoring the evolving impact of the coronavirus.

Our highest priority continues to be the well-being of our staff, members, and community. As we consider the impact of the coronavirus, we have decided to take additional preventative measures to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. To promote social distancing and limit person-to-person contact, we will temporarily close our branches to walk-in business.  All drive-thru locations will remain open during normal business hours.

Starting Thursday, March 19, we will initiate a series of operational changes to serve you during these challenging times. We understand this may impact your banking experience and wanted to assure you we have products and services in place to meet your financial needs.

Beginning March 19, we will temporarily close all of our Bulloch County lobbies to walk-in business. At this time you can still access the Savannah Federal branch lobby.
