History

CORE Credit Union was founded in 1974 on the Credit Union principle of People Helping People. At that time, it was run by its one employee, out of a room at Sallie Zetterower Elementary School offering only savings accounts.

40 years later, CORE is still going strong. With 30 employees CORE serves more than 50 employee groups in Bulloch, Effingham, Bryan, Emanuel, Evans, Jenkins, Screven, and Candler counties.

Come experience the difference at CORE Credit Union. As a non-profit financial institution, our goal is to promote the financial well-being of our members. We're not in business to make profits for stockholders. Instead, we exist solely to meet our members' needs. For over 40 years, we've been providing excellent rates on savings and loans with a focus on personal service. Today, we continue that tradition. Join the CORE Credit Union family, and let us show you the difference membership makes.

Mission Statement

The mission of CORE Credit Union is to provide professional yet personal service, based on the sound financial policies that balance the Credit Union's philosophy with maximization of return to its members.
